The Department of Energy offered a $20MM Bright Tomorrow prize for the creation of mass producible efficient lighting.  It worked!

Starbucks…There You Go Again…

There goes my idea of offering free internet access at Starbucks. Starbucks is pushing the idea that WiFi will be free, as I’ve been suggesting for some time now, but it will cost you if you are not an AT&T customer.

The Wall Street Journal reports that wind grew 45% last year (to over 15,000 megawatts) and reports an estimated 20,000 jobs now in the sector. Solar Grew by 300 Megawatts.
