Posted on March 27, 2008. Filed under: Business, Innovation, New Product Development, Technology, media |

Another jaw dropping application I found is Content Aware Image [...]

Posted on March 26, 2008. Filed under: Business, Marketing, media |

Great viral video.  The cost of making this was probably very low and it’s getting quit a bit of exposure.  It has just over 5,000 hits on youtube.com, but it’s a top video on videosift.com

Rick Astley and Viral Video

Posted on March 24, 2008. Filed under: Business, Marketing, Technology, media |

Have you been rickrolled? Believe me, it can be funny. Sitting quietly studying at school and suddenly you hear getting rickrolled on their laptop, you can’t help but giggle. Rick Astley has had a surge in popularity from this by the way. One site, according to the Times, has 7 [...]

Slow News Day = WACKY CARS!

Every so often we hear about some kind of wacky car in the news. Today it’s MIT’s foldable car. I love this kind of stuff, and it is the kind of news that got me interested in technology in the first place. It is a silly story in the end, but it reminds [...]

Starbucks Plan Backfires

Posted on March 7, 2008. Filed under: Business, Management, Marketing |

Dunkin’ Donuts, soon to be re-branded “DD” has attacked with brilliant ads making fun of the Starbucks culture. My favorite is the Fritalian, that makes fun of Starbucks’ made up language.
Starbucks has become a more of joke lately as Chicago Tribune writes a favorable review of Starbucks’ new line of chocolate (made by Hershey) and [...]

Posted on March 4, 2008. Filed under: Business, Management, Marketing, Technology |

Well, talk about free publicity. Starbucks closure was all over the news. I talked to many that did not even know Starbucks was having trouble, but now they do. CEO Schultz removed the breakfast foods so that the stores would smell like coffee again, but he has now added the [...]
